Veteran Service for Armed Forces Week 2026

A lovely warm day greeted us for the Veterans' service at the end of Armed Forces Week on 28th June.  The Mayor of the London Borough of Bromley attended and read a lesson. Standards were paraded and the Banner Bearer of 2427 Sqn (Biggin Hill) also read a lesson. Many veterans  came to the service which was lead by Chaplain David Jefferys, who gave a thought provoking sermon. Organist Eric Johnstone and Bugler Vicky Mace were the musicians. Tom Cuxton sang solo in Welsh, the first verse of 'Guide me oh thou great redeemer' and then all joined in the hymn.  Afterwards Veterans, the Mayor and guests met in the Museum cafe.
