Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication 4th February 2024
Celebrating ATC Sunday
There are eight Squadrons in Kent Wing Royal Air Force Cadets and many came to a service of Thanksgiving and Dedication . ATC Sunday commemorates the founding of the Air Training Corps on 5th February 1941.
In the service, Cadets renewed their promise to uphold the values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. They further promised to be good citizens and to do their duty to God and the King their country and flag.
To mention God in the promise above was optional!
The Chaplain of Biggin Hill Squadron, Reverend Alison Newman led the service and Mr Eric Johnson was the organist. The Union Flag and four Air Training Corps Squadron banners were paraded.
The service was not open to the general public but members of the Chapel congregtion attended.
