It was a beautiful sunny autumnal day and perfect for our service. The Chapel was full ; there wasn't space for anyone else. Mr Ian Gillies lead the service with Eric Johnston at the organ and Nigel Garrard playing the bugle. Simon Stanford-Tuck, son of famous hero and ace pilot, Bob Stanford-Tuck, lead the Act of Remembrance with Laurence Binyon's words. Tom Claxton sang solo the very patriotic hymn , 'I vow to thee my country' , Barbara Hodges lead the intecessionary prayers and Margaret Wilmot read a poem. Biggin Hill Councillor Sophie Dunbar and a Cadet from Biggin Hill Air Training Corps read the lessons. More than 14 wreaths were laid after, in front of the Gate Guardians.
